more
Our ambitious growth strategy has resulted in Genee World products now being used everyday in over 80 countries around the world, and allowed us to establish and grow our network of international distributors to service the ever growing demand for our products. Our Interactive Response System project started with a specially researched and designed response handset that is laid out similar to a mobile phone. This allows most users anywhere in the world to be instantly familiar with the design format and so encouraging them to actively participate in the lesson, with research having shown that these systems do make a tangible difference to the learning, motivation and attainment of students when using this form of personalised learning.
Genee World has continued to develop the software for it’s Response Systems, with specific modifications to our leading CENS-US software and making ClassComm MAC compatible just two recent examples. We have also just completed a project of translating the 1,500 topic questions and lesson text so far into 14 languages, which has proved a great sales feature as it is very popular with teachers and lecturers. The system is extremely easy to use and is designed for use with PowerPoint, so making the creation of a lesson simple. Genee World has also developed a bank of subject questions to get the end user confident in using the system and the numerous options and features the system brings to any lesson.
Another key to Genee World’s continuing success is the connectivity of our products, where we have specified for our products to be able to integrate not only with our other Genee products (i.e. Whiteboards, Visualisers, Response Systems, P.C.’s), as well as all the other leading ICT brands. We announced the launch of the new mid priced I-Q Pad Interactive Response System at the recent InfoComm 2009 Industry event in the USA to great acclaim, and are now in advanced negotiations to sell this product coast to coast across the U.S.A. Our partnership with international distributors continues to develop at a pace and where we are planning to continue to roll out the translation to another 12 languages in the next few months.

It is powered by a USB from the PC/Laptop and uses low energy, making it one of the most environmentally friendly, green 21st century classroom solutions.
The ergonomic shape fits comfortably in the hand or onto the smooth, sturdy base. The removable camera has a 20x, 40x and 100x magnification range and USB powered bright LED over and underneath lighting.
The Genee Scope also has many educational benefits, for instance, it aims to draw attention to the likely advantages of adopting more innovative forms of student assessment. By doing so it highlights some of the central qualities of so called innovative assessment practices contrasting these with the qualities of traditional forms of student assessments. One example is science SATS, which are no longer carried out by schools. Testing a pupil’s knowledge through such tests will only allow them the ability to recite facts and figures, which are usually crammed in beforehand and then forgotten afterwards.
In contrast the scope is a unique tool that will test for depth of knowledge, it assists a teacher to continually assess and record a child’s strengths and weaknesses on an on-going basis. It aides the teacher to be familiar enough with their students work to be able to recognise weak or potentially weak areas in their development. The Genee Scope is also suitable for sharing amongst students, one scope between two works effectively as there are no power issues. It has a removable camera head, allowing a range of experiments to be carried out where children can record their images of found specimens and transfer them onto Microsoft Word or PowerPoint as the Scope is compatible with these applications.
The Genee Scope takes power directly from a PC/ Laptop and has an accommodating adjustable lens height giving you easy focus. And it comes complete with a USB connector that is easy to use with low service costs. It has a small and discreet button for underneath light and the scope also has an orderly and remarkable cord management handle system that protects the cord. There is also a hidden battery compartment.

Genee World is pleased to announce they will officially launch their new IQ Pad at the BETT show 2010. The IQ Pad is a revolutionary handset that can work with the latest version of ClassComm and Cens-Us. This system is set to create a breakthrough in education through unprecedented opportunities for student participation and assessment. It comes complete with a teacher handset and a set of wireless handsets for the students, all with a unique ID address for each receiver. The IQ Pad gives the students an opportunity to express themselves through numbers, a yes/no option and a full texting feature. The feature is as simple to use as a mobile phone and enables students to respond in complete sentences.
Ideal for use with CenS-Us as it has a spontaneous question format- written in an authoring tool such as virtual whiteboard area, microsoft word or notepad with a floating interactive Genee toolbar. You have complete flexibility enabling use with any piece of software. Also, if you can use PowerPoint you can use ClassComm, it offers 3D interactive games and a new added feature called the “text and drop”. This feature allows students to text in responses that can be dragged and dropped by the presenter onto an image. Data can be captured to send students reports via email and can also be used for future use to track student progress. The remarkable ad hoc feature allows the students to text in their name to form a class.
Genee World is conscious of the fact that each student works at a different level and pace so the IQ Pad via ClassComm has a brand new Personalised Learning module. This enables each student to answer questions and then move to the next question without having to wait for other students to catch up. It allows teachers to allocate quizzes of varying difficulty and gives them the option to extend or decrease the length of time to test students. It gives immediate response details for each student in the class, per question. Teachers can immediately intervene to support students on exactly what they need and recognize the ones that need to be challenged further.
It equips teachers with a revolutionary device for delivering dynamic lessons that are customized specifically for assessment purposes. Primary School teacher, John Nelson comments, “It is a remarkable tool that includes all children and makes assessments fun and non-threatening. It gives realistic formative assessment and easily collate able summative assessment”.
It is also highly adaptable and teachers can control the pad from anywhere in the classroom with no line of sight required. Easy to operate with 2 x AA batteries and a maximum of 253 participants with one receiver.

If you’ve already tried the usual security solutions such as security alarms, cameras and cables and they haven’t worked then try our new sonic shock anti- theft alarm. It’s like a ‘car alarm’ for theft prone devices such as projectors, computers, printers and LCD screens. Designed for use in schools, colleges, universities and businesses, the alarm is simple to install and easy to use.
Installation can be carried out in minutes by anyone, with just three parts. The first is a base plate you fuse to your equipment using the methyacrylate bonding agent included, you then place the alarm onto this plate. The alarm module snaps onto the base plate, arming the alarm also locks this module on. Then a three metre/ 10 foot sensor snares around a fixed object and the sensor loop plugs into the alarm module. Cutting this will trigger the alarm if thieves try to steal the objects forcing the thieves to either carry a two hour long siren or abort the attempt. It has the alarm power of 117 decibels, giving high volume output. If you don’t have a place to attach the tether, the anchor point is another option, it is an electronically plug in box, which can be mounted onto a wall, floor or furniture. Ideal for schools, colleges and universities as the Sonic Shock can fit onto any projector that has a flat surface. Extraordinarily, there is no motion trigger with the sonic shock; therefore there are no false alarms.
It is a simple, reliable, strong and reusable deterrent. It is very low maintenance, with a long battery life. Locks to the sonic shock have interchangeable cores. If a key were to fall into the wrong hands you can swap lock cores. You can get all your units keyed the same and that code can be re-ordered at anytime.
The sonic shock also works to strengthen existing security measures as it works jointly with cameras and security systems. It protects equipment during the day when motion sensors are turned off. After hours, the motion sensors force thieves to work hurriedly, limiting their time to carry out the difficult time consuming and risky job of destroying the alarms. Sonic Shock is also less expensive and more robust than comparable alarm systems.
