Genee World in association with Genee Solutions (India) are launching to the Indian Market an exceptional new feature ‘Text and Drop’ in to their Interactive Learning Response software ClassComm. The launch will be at the Genee World stand at the Worlddidac India 2010 in Mumbai - 23-25 September 2010. ClassComm is a market leading product which operates on Genee World’s Interactive Learning Response Systems such as the IQ Pad, Genee Pad, and the Pebble all of which will be demonstrated at the event.
The ‘Text and Drop’ feature was specially researched and developed for ClassComm at the specific request of schools, colleges and universities who wanted something outstanding and user friendly to incorporate into their teaching practices. The ‘Text and Drop’ feature offers users exactly that and allows for participants to text in responses to questions asked by the presenter that can then be dragged and dropped by the presenter onto an image or canvas area. It has been specially researched and enhanced in the latest version of ClassComm to allow for image capture from a video source, annotation tools and spontaneous question features are available for the formation of truly interactive classroom teaching. It is now available as a free upgrade to any purchasers of ClassComm over the last two years.
Another fantastic development to the ‘Text and Drop’ feature is the now enhanced Presentation Response bar that allows presenters to toggle the view between student name, student response and handset ID. This allows the presenter to gain instant feedback on individual responses during a presentation. Data can then be captured to send students reports via email and is especially useful for future use to track student progress. The bar can now also be docked horizontally or vertically on the screen to display names as a list. As students enter their responses, the presenter can click on individual cells to display the responses in real time. Presenters can click on the ‘show student name’ option to change the cell view to display individual student names and it will also display the handset ID number. The remarkable ad hoc feature allows each student to text in their name to form a class.
ClassComm software seamlessly integrates with PowerPoint allowing teachers to create pre-prepared quick and easy lesson plans with additional features that include the Personalised Learning Module that enables students to answer questions at their own level and pace without having to wait or keep up with other students. Another fantastic feature is the 3D interactive gaming technology which converts answers and speed of response into “race games” showing who the leaders are in a virtual race. It is also MAC compatible and gives realistic formative and easily collate able summative assessment making it very popular with teachers and educators alike.
